List of Unapproved Engg Colleges in KEAM 2012 Prospectus

AICTE is the sole authority of approving Engineering & Architecture Colleges in India. A candidate joining an Engineering College need to verify of the college is approved by AICTE. Below is the list of unapproved Engineering Colleges in Kerala.

What are the risks of not having AICTE approval? Detailed guidelines are provided in AICTE website.

• The quality of education cannot be guaranteed
• The institute may shut down of AICTE finds unapproved colleges/courses
• Students admitted to unapproved college may have to stop education in between

In KEAM 2012 prospectus we found 11 Colleges/Institutes that are not approved by AICTE as of June 6, 2012. You can find the list of all approved colleges in Kerala in AICTE website. There is a clause mentioned in KEAM 2012 prospectus page 65.

Allotment to all Colleges/Courses will be subject to approval of Central Regulatory Bodies/Government of India/Kerala and Affiliation of the concerned University.

The final list of Engineering Colleges will be published before the Centralized Allotment Process. However here is the list of unapproved colleges. Most of the colleges are Self Financing colleges.

8. Trinity College of Engineering, Trinity Hill,
   Poovada, Naruvamoodu P O, Thiruvananthapuram
9. Alsalama Institute of Architecture,
   Malaparamba, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram
10. Devaki Amma's Guruvayurappan College of
    Architecture, Chelembra, Pulliparamba P O, Malappuram

Candidates are strongly advised to join only approved Engineering Colleges to safe guard their career interests. You do not want to study in a college that has limited facilities and poor quality.
